Scholar of the Arcane Arts has just received a significant update, introducing new features and enhancements to its roguelike action RPG gameplay. The Necromancy Update brings five new spells, seven new enemies, and a new dungeon to explore.

One of the key additions is the ability to combine up to 10,000 spells from five schools of magic, including Hydromancy, Pyromancy, Geomancy, Necromancy, and Aeromancy. This allows players to create complex spell combinations that can aid them in their quest.

The update also includes enhancements to older spells, town building updates, gameplay updates, Steam achievements, and bug fixes. Additionally, the game now features a new Gateway that leads to the Eldritch Domain and the newly added Catacombs dungeon.

New enemies include Warden, Zombie, Obsidian, Marko, Wraith, Lich, and MasterEye, which will provide a challenge for players to overcome as they explore this realm of death and decay. The Necromancy Update is available now on Steam Early Access and the Epic Games Store in Early Access, with a price tag of $3.99 / €3.99.

Indie developer Courtesy of Endo and publisher ESDigital Games are also running a Twitter contest using the hashtag #BecomeScholar, encouraging players to mix and match the new Necromancy Update spells with those from the game's initial build.
